Slow Start, Strong Finish

Updated: Apr 16, 2021

The Browns got off to a slow start at the beginning of the year, but managed to pull it together during the second half.

The Browns Baseball Club finished the Shasta Baseball League fall season with a record of 5-5. Getting off to a slow start the first five games, the last half of the season the browns only list one game.

“Once we started to trust each other, our guys became more confident. It was a good growing experience for our ball club” -Coach Spencer

The Browns stepped on the field for the first time in 2019. Resurrected from the original Redding Browns Single-A club in Redding during the late 1940's, this amateur baseball club is looking forward to sticking around for a while. During the last 5 games the Browns pitching really took over and the team only lost one game to the first place team.

Looking forward to 2020

As the Browns rest up in the off season, the team is looking forward to getting back on the field and continuing the Browns legacy of competing and developing while having fun as we play the great game of baseball.
