In Walk-Off, Redding Browns Loses To Shasta Lake Rivers

It came down to the last play, but Redding Browns was on the wrong end of a 5-4 defeat to Shasta Lake Rivers on Sunday. The game was tied at four with Shasta Lake Rivers batting in the bottom of the ninth when Mcganya singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

Redding Browns opened up scoring in the first inning, when Joshua Johnson grounded out, scoring one run.
Shasta Lake Rivers evened things up at four in the bottom of the sixth inning. Shasta Lake Rivers scored one run when Mcganya doubled.
Tyler Spencer led things off on the hill for Redding Browns. Spencer went three innings, allowing two runs on six hits, striking out three and walking zero. Brian Peppel and Connor McCoy entered the game as relief, throwing three innings and two and two-thirds innings respectively.
Redding Browns scattered nine hits in the game. Spencer and Peppel all collected multiple hits for Redding Browns. Spencer went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Redding Browns in hits. Redding Browns stole eight bases during the game as two players stole more than one. McCoy led the way with two.
